During the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) phase project specifics are further tested for cost-effectiveness, timeliness and other quality indicators. The idea is to ensure a prospective concept is the best solution for accomplishing project goals. In FEED stage, concept is reviwed and optimised. Activities like primary structural sizing, preliminary structural analysis are performed again to verify the concept design. A brief design basis, material specification, general arrangement layout and material take off list are prepared.
Once the FEED/Conceptual Design stage is finished, engineering cycle proceeds to detailed design of the project. Project is initiated by preparation of a design basis and various other specifications in detail. A comprehensive structural analysis are performed as per relevant codes and standards and based on results detailed structural drawings are finalised for production. Other acitivties involove generation of exhaustive Material take off list and secondary and teritary steel design.
In brownfield assessment, fields whose oil and gas accretion has matured or in progress for declining production. Owners of these fields seek to extend the life of the field using cost-effective and low-risk technologies. Brown field modification can be for Jackets/Topsides/Jackup rigs/FPSO based on respective latest codes. We expertise in Re-assessment of structure based on API chapter 17 and other codes. We have performed various conversion of old engineering models in compliance with new codes.
Oil and Gas projects require to have a design which is economical and robust. In order to have optimum balance between these two criteria we use latest techniques of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Explicit Dynamics and Coupled Fluid structural analysis.
